After a 25 years hiatus’ it was time to rekindle my passion. For weeks on end I searched web sites for privately and dealer owned cars. I narrowed my search down to about 30, I knew 30 Corvettes would take a lot of time to look at. I took two days off from work to get a jump start on the weekend which was the time limit I gave myself. With my list in hand I was off, my intention was not to make offers on the first few, but I did. After two grueling days of sales pitches, offers, and phone calls to my home, I was questioning some of my search criteria because I had more questions than my research could answer and everyone I encountered knew less than I did. There was a Craigslist posting offering information and advice for Corvettes purchaser's, JOEKNOWSCORVETTES, I felt I needed help. I called JOEKNOWSCOREVETTES to find out what service was really offered. After talking with Joe Harvey, I felt he could help at least narrow my search and possibly help locate the Corvette I was looking for. I met Joe the following Saturday, Joe was a straight talking Corvette salesperson who also owns a Corvette himself. He located a prospect car that evening, I came back in to the dealership Sunday morning and drove my 2005 Daytona Sunset Orange Coupe home Sunday afternoon. It was an easy transaction, so easy that I have sent many other customers to Joe and all have had similar experiences.

Like so many of you, I dreaded the prospect of having to go from dealer to dealer, make call after call, look at car after car, only to find that more often than not, things are just not what they’re advertised to be.  Bad internet pics, misleading info just to get you in a seat, etc., etc.  And who can you trust these days if you do luck out and find that perfect car?

 Corvettes are not Mustangs folks, these are very special cars and at this level you’ve got to work darn hard to find "the one".  Between options, colors, low mileage, and a good price, Joe will hook you up hassle free!  No pressure and lots of information!  Enjoy your hunt but save yourself some time because Joe Harvey DOES know Corvettes!  More importantly though, Joe knows Corvette people!  He’s probably the most upfront and honest guy you’ll ever buy a car from - period.  Do not buy your Vette without at least talking to Joe before you do.  You’ll be so glad you did!

Corvettes the greatest American made sports car ever!  It’s a great time to buy one and there’s definitely no better guy to buy yours from!

We cannot thank you enough for helping us purchase our dream car. I had spent countless hours this last summer searching for Corvettes. I would find one that was the right color and price but the miles were too high. I could never really find the perfect car. While on the internet I ran across Joe’s website. I went on the corvette forum and typed in Joe Harvey’s name and was pleased to see nothing but positive feedback.

 

We gave him a call and explained our situation and within a couple of days he had found the perfect car. The color and options were what we wanted and the miles were really low and the price was definitely in our range. From time to time I will look on the internet and I still have not found a better deal than the one we got from Joe, not even close.

 

The car Joe found for us was located in another state and it took a week or so to arrive, during that time I could not sleep at night and I was emailing and calling Joe everyday, through it all Joe was very patient and understanding and I know he will miss my daily emails. Ha! Ha!

 

We will never forget the day we picked up our 2006 Black on Black Corvette Coupe, everything about the car was perfect, what an experience!!!

I looked at 7 or 8 Corvette's before working with Joe.

Being a busy professional, time AND trust is very important to me.
I already knew what my trade-in car was worth and the Z06 of my dreams.

A quick frank painless call to Joe about the potential financials of deal was appreciated AND none of the typical spin-selling.
I gained a lot of respect and trust from his honesty and upfront negotiations, as I didn't want to travel all the way up to Monroe from Puyallup only to be approached with a spin-sell once inside the doors.  This did NOT happen!

Living in Alaska limits your choices on used Corvettes and I  
appreciated the help Joe gave me in locating the "One". I searched for

Alaska. I came across Joe on Craiglist and hit his site. My first

I had asked a couple of local car dealers to locate a red c-5 convertible with a tan top for me. After about a two week wait and no action, I got frustrated and thought I'm going to have to find my car myself. I searched the internet. Right there on Craig's list Seattle I stumbled into joeknowscorvettes. Joe asked me several questions about how I would use the car, particulars about colors and price range. In 3 days Joe had found my baby for me! It was somewhere in Indiana or Iowa, I don't remember...and I didn't care. Buying a car unseen is an unsettling adventure. There are a lot of "what if's". The financial transaction, what if the car isn't what I thought it was going to be? If I wasn't dealing with the right person, the deal could have went sideways 11 times. But it didn't! Everything happened exactly the way Joe said it would. My baby was delivered right to my door in Bismarck, ND. (the delivery driver was even cute) Does Joe know corvettes? UVETTYA......

On a whim in July, I test drove a Corvette for the first time. By August, I had chosen a set of features I desired in a Corvette and started looking.  I quickly decided I would buy used to avoid the high depreciation when buying new. I then discovered that in today’s used-car marketplace, the 3LT/automatic/coupe was a rare car and none had all the features I desired.  So nearly daily I looked through the available Corvette posted on many different web sites, including Joe Harvey’s joeknowscorvettes.com. Finally in mid-December, Joe posted a silver ’08 with all the features I wanted. 

When I called, he said bought it from the GMAC Smart Auction and it was on its way from Michigan.  He then said that many of his customers contingently purchase a Corvette before it arrives with the rider that the customer will inspect and drive it before the deal is actually finalized.  He described some of the key gate decisions that the Auction goes through when accepting a vehicle for sale. Further, he described his process to find out more about the vehicle he is purchasing for resale including looking at the AutoCheck, which is similar to a CarFAX. Knowing how rare these features have been in the used Corvettes out there, and the steps Joe took when he purchased it, I jumped at the chance. 

Joe kept me informed as to where it was and when it would be available. When I inspected and drove it, the Corvette was all I expected and more. And now I drive my dream.

The car is looking as good as ever, I have only managed to put about 800 miles on it. On a short hop over Hiway 2 I ran into a BMW/Audi club out for a run, their lead car was a new M3 and he decided to show his buddies how to spank the General's finest. End result was a Beemer outline on the Vette's flank and the Tuetonic pilot peelng off in disillusionment followed by his posse. 
 
I have bought many cars over the years, both new and used, and dealing with Joe has been the easiest and most troublefree experience of them all. Joe helped me refine my expectations and found me exactly the car I was looking for. He expedited the paperwork process and had me driving home in my new Vette that day.

Let me say first of all that Joe is the MAN!! I was overseas for several months searching for a C6 Corvette via internet. 
I looked everywhere from coast to coast for a C6 that suited my wants. It's harder to negotiate with dealers when you are 
overseas because I feel they think that people are wasting there time, but this was not the case with Joe. After searching 
all those months I came across his website and began to view his Corvette inventory and read the Testimonials. Once 
I finished reading the Testimonials I was very impressed and immidiately emailed Joe describing the car I wanted. Within

Within a day he located a car with my desired options, color, mileage and price range with an estimated arrival time for my viewing. The Vette arrived as scheduled and as promised so I bought it. Financing was easy too because they are partners with my bank and I was able to drive it home the same day. It's a supercar without the supercar price. Joe really does know Corvettes.

I was looking to replace my 2000 Millennium Yellow Corvette.  I gave Joe a call and he started looking for a car that fit our specific requirements.  I really wanted a stick, and everything we had been able to find was an automatic.  We also wanted a crystal red metallic car.  And since I love going around corners fast, the Z51 package was on our list too.  Then we told him that we were partial to the 4LT interior with leather everywhere.  Joe found a car for us the first day.  But it had a few more miles on it than we wanted.  I’ll never forget a call we got from Joe.  He told us that we should be able to find exactly what we wanted in the price range we had specified.  Wow!  That was quite a promise.  And he delivered on it!

We drove up to Monroe to let him look at our car as a trade in.  I had been advertising it on Craig’s List, and had some interest in the car, but no one with money showed up at our door to buy the car.  Joe offered us a very reasonable price.  Then, while we were there in his office, he scoured the GM sites again for a car that fit our requirements and one popped up in Maine.  It was EXACTLY the equipment we wanted, and didn’t have anything that we didn’t want.  Our list of things we didn’t want was even longer than our list of what we did want.  So finding this car was amazing.  Then he told us that GM had a rebate of $4,000 on this car since it was a 2009 that had never been sold.  Yep, a brand new car, with only 35 miles on it. 

We signed, and the car was on his lot the next week, and is now in our garage.  We love it.  It is perfect, beautiful, and fun to drive.  I thought the 2000 Corvette was great on the corners, but that was just a taste of what our new 2009 can do.  If you are in the market for a Corvette, talk to Joe.  He can work miracles.

Joe provided a no-pressure sales environment.  I was given ample time to spend alone with the car and to finalize my decision.  My decision was guided by a wealth of information Joe supplied concerning performance and options.  When it became apparent to Joe that I had located the “right“ Vette, no pressure tactics were applied to “make an offer”, nor were there implications that other potential buyers were waiting in the wings.  Joe appeared to be more interested in making sure I was matched up with the right Corvette.

 In addition, Joe was instrumental in obtaining a fair trade-in price for my older Corvette (which was in excellent condition).   He immediately acknowledged the Blue Book value didn’t accurately reflect that of the car.  This is in contrast to other sales staff I have encountered with a previous trade-in who would tell me to “sell the car privately” if I wanted fair market value.  I fully expected the same at Speedway.  But Joe, on his own accord, phoned several of his professional contacts to formulate and present a reasonable offer. 

 Joe Harvey went out of his way to ensure that I was a very satisfied customer.  I would highly recommend dropping by and talking to Joe if you’re in the market for a Corvette.  In my opinion, Joe presents a potential buyer with a friendly environment where one can sample his inventory, draw on his expertise, and not be pressured into a quick sale.

I admit I threw him a few curves as I was out for the best deal and the best car for the money. Joe was always courteous and persistent about making a sale as well. In the end I feel we both came out with what we strived for - me with a 2006 Corvette that my wife and I love and Joe with his sale. Thanks Joe,

Laurie and I just wanted to let every Corvette enthusiast in the State of Washington know that Joe Harvey truly does "Know Corvettes". We just purchased a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport with the options we desired from Speedway Chevrolet, and the car was not at Joe's Dealership. I gave Joe the information on the car I wanted and he was able to acquire it for me in one day. I had previously been to four other dealerships and made several dead end phone calls with very disappointing results. Fortunately I found Joe's webpage on the internet. I called him and discussed my interest in a 2010 Grand Sport. I quickly realized that Joe has excellent customer service skills and a commitment to working with his customers to deliver them exactly the car they want. He possesses a vast knowledge about these fine sports cars because he also owns a corvette and he enjoys it as much as we all do. I was also pleased to discover that the rest of the staff at Speedway Chevrolet takes great pride in treating there customers right. I truly believe it was well worth the hour and half drive to go see Joe harvey at Speedway Chevrolet. My only frustration is that I have 4 local dealers that I have visited and not one of them measures up to the service I have received from Speedway Chevrolet. I will definitely send anyone I know that is looking to buy a Corvette to Joe Harvey.

Not knowing alot about Corvettes we came in to see and learn.  You answered
all our questions about the vaious models and options then allowed us to
drive the cars.  You heard our ideas of where we wanted to go with a car and
give us options and guidence without being pushy.  We left the dealership
several times feeling served and understood.

The volume of Vettes that go thought your store is amazing.  So it was no
surprise when you called us about a car being traded in that we might be
interested in would be in.  We were able to meet the folks that owned the
car which was one of my criteria to buy this type of car.  Over a couple of
days we made a deal.  Mostly over the phone, not the high pressure
conference room ordeal.  It was by far the best car buying experence I've
ever had.  Maybe we'll want to move to another Vette in a couple of years.
Corvette Joe will be our first call.

I wanted to share my purchase experience at Speedway Chevrolet in Monroe and Joe (Harvey) Knows Corvettes. About a month ago I went there to see a 2004 Corvette he had in his inventory. I arrived as the car had came out of there detail shop. The car very clean and was in great shape. After greeting Joe and looking over the 2004 Corvette I asked Joe if we could take it out for a test drive. After driving it for about 10 minutes I knew I wanted it. Joe and I went back to Speedway and discussed the detail which included a trade in and what it would take to make the deal. The finance department and sales department were very helpful with extra information so I could make decisions like purchasing an extended warranty. The deal went very smoothly and overall the decision was very easy to make. I would recommend Speedway Chevrolet to anyone for any car including Corvettes. I know Joe will always work his hardest to make the Dream of owning a beautiful Corvette become a real Miracle. He did it for me! My wife Nancy and I love the Corvette.

on our Vette.  Immaculate condition (still smelled like a new car) every

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard these words uttered from my husbands mouth over the last 28 years. Owning a Corvette has always been his dream but house payments and kids, one, two and three, all took priority in our younger days of married life. I would tease him saying only old men and drug dealers own Corvettes (no disrespect meant here!) So the comments would pass over his lips and out into the great void of wishes for his dream car.

Jumping forward to the present, you will find him during any non work/sleep hours ensconced in his office trying desperately to complete his dissertation, which will end 5 years of effort to earn a PhD in Organizational Leadership. The process for writing this magnum opus is grueling and at times discouraging. After submitting a 5^{th draft of the final two chapters and being rejected once again it became clear to me that he really need a boost. Something of a "reset" button to encourage him.}

I talked to his friend Kim, who happens to be a Corvette owner, about getting Vaughan a Corvette for an early graduation present. I asked if I could find one in a specific price range and if he would be willing to help me find and select the car. I was very specific that I wanted to keep this a total secret.

Kim said I could totally count him in and he began looking for cars, making calls on ads and searching local listings. On a Wednesday he called me to say there was a car in the age range and price range we had agreed on. It was at Speedway Chevrolet in Monroe and he had talked to the salesman Joe as well as the previous owner who had recently traded it in. Kim felt it was a good option and we arranged to meet and take it for a drive. In the end the car was in terrific shape and I bought it for Vaughan.

Now to spring the surprise, Kim had to be there after all the help he provided. Plus all our kids wanted to be there so we agreed to meet at Olive Garden where I would present the car. Kim kept the car overnight at his house and at the appointed time everyone converged to watch proceedings. I wrapped the keys for the Corvette in a small box and presented it to Vaughan as we were entering the restaurant. I told him the box was a small token of my admiration for his dedication to school. He was perplexed by the whole thing but indulged me!

When he opened the box he said "Keys, what are these for?" I spun him around and said, "See that white Corvette over there? It’s yours!" You should have seen his face! The first words out of his mouth were "No Way!" And you should have seen his face when he sat himself down in the driver’s seat of his very own dream car. His expression was priceless, and oh my the grin, it was from ear to ear.

The car did the trick. Vaughan is working hard on yet another rewrite and vows to finish this PHD! Every time he takes the car out for a spin it give him the boost he needs to keep going. I own a debt of gratitude to Vaughan’s friend Kim for helping me and to Joe at Speedway for the professional service he offered in handling this purchase. I couldn’t be happier, and Vaughan’s still
pinching himself just to make sure the 1979 Corvette in the garage really belongs to him.

When I found joeknowscorvettes.com online, I did some research on the car and on his credentials amongst the Corvette
community. As I read the comments on the enthusiasts sites I was thinking "man does this dude write his own comments or is he all that and a free set of mags"?  They were so positive I became succinctly skeptical. That was until I found the car that I wanted on his website. What I did find out is how hard he'll work to get you the best deal on the car you want, I also found out that he is remarkably personable, extremely cordial and understanding and has over the top patience. Sounds like I'm describing a triple A high school principle right?  Never the less JKC (joeknowscorvettes)  completed our deal and paperwork in a surprisingly short time. I mean, making the banks happy (not easy to do these days when they want everything from a DNA sample to a record of your last dream) and me... "The Customer" more than satisfied. It is refreshing to deal with a down to earth gentleman like Joe Harvey. I bought this car w/o a test drive and for the record and my observation Joe really does know Corvettes, Thanks my friend.
